![]() Family sessions online, in venues or local parks
Our free family sessions include interactive activities such as: singing, dancing, storytelling, creative crafts, phonics and games. Join our ever growing WhatsApp group to get relevant information, regular updates and invites to our local events. Contact us. Online sessions last 30mins and often follow this routine: Hello Cocoon’s song Greeting to all Singing action songs to explore movement and exercise Singing nursery rhymes using props, toys and puppets Stories with slides Good bye song Venues or Local parks Due to covid19, we are not able to meet at Dagenham Library so we have moved into local parks such as: Mayesbrook Park, Parsloes Park, Old Dagenham Park, Barking Park, Goresbrook Park and The Chase. During these drop-in sessions we invite children to engage in arts and crafts, and also physical games with equipment. Sometimes we bring the big parachute to add more fun to the session. |
Educational material
We have been producing informative handouts – available for free on our Resources section – covering different topics that are vital when parenting young children. In 2020 we published our first Parenting booklet (also available on our Resources section). We have a singing booklet that has been supporting families during sessions, especially if they are not familiar with all the lyrics.

Projects
Parenting kit - A first prototype of the parenting kit was designed and distributed to 40 families. A second and improved parenting kit was distributed to 100 families.
We are currently developing new ideas to continue supporting families in our borough. We are open to collaborations. |
